Baylor Sales Team Takes 1st Place Overall at the Challenger Sales Institute Competition

Baylor took the 1st place team finish over the weekend at the Challenger Sales Institute competition in Oklahoma City (CSI). Student teams from 10 universities participated in this competition involving five different competitive events.

The Baylor sales team included Darlene Duncan, Daevin Garcia, Cole Harrison, Haley Otts, Austin Owens, and Saylor Yoos. Helping the team to prepare for the competition were student coaches: Juliana Arrington, Alex Justus, Travis Scheibmeir, and Collin Short.

Baylor took 1st (Saylor Yoos), 2nd (Haley Otts) and 3rd (Daevin Garcia) in the Speed Sell competition. Austin Owens and Daevin Garcia placed 2nd in the Sales Management Case competition. Darlene Duncan and Cole Harrison seized 3rd place in the Ethics Case competition. After several rounds of eliminations, Haley Otts garnered 4th place in the Role Play competition. The Baylor team tied for first place with two other universities for the Team Challenge.

As a result of the individual and case team efforts, Baylor outscored all other teams to take the first place team finish. Participating universities included Arkansas State University, Baylor University, Kansas University, Missouri State University, Oklahoma State University, Southeast Missouri State University, University of Arkansas at Little Rock, University of Central Oklahoma, University of Missouri, and the University of Texas-Arlington.
