Student Feature – Johana Favela
Johana’s family moved around a bit when she was younger. Specifically, they moved to Mexico for ten years and then moved back to Texas. Johana remembers what it was like to struggle with the language, to feel like she did not have a voice. This experience, coupled with her passion for serving others, led her to become a medical Interpreter for patients who do not speak English and to serve as the class leader for the English as a Second Language Urban Missions Team.
Johana is a dual major in ProSales and Spanish. The ProSales program has helped her to find and define her own voice by learning to perfect and articulate her personal brand. Johana says that the program has also helped her learn to truly listen to others with undivided attention. Passionate about helping others, Johana believes that sales is another avenue through which she can work to make a difference. She plans to make a difference at BirdEye.
