Student Feature – Kayleen Shearer
Kayleen has a unique background. She grew up in California, which provided her with opportunities to do two things: surf and dance. Kayleen began surfing in elementary school and has been riding the waves ever since. Last summer, she travelled to Costa Rica where she worked with an organization to take elementary school kids surfing in the Pacific. In addition to surfing, Kayleen has also been dancing since the age of two. Because she grew up close to Los Angeles, Kayleen had several opportunities to work as a commercial dancer. She was also signed by a talent agency and performed on So You Think You Can Dance. Kayleen was able to continue dancing at Baylor by joining the dance team.
Kayleen is also a member of Zeta Tau Alpha and Baylor Women in Business and serves as a community life leader through Antioch Church. In this role, she leads approximately thirty others in service projects, Bible discussion, and mentorship. Kayleen credits the ProSales program with teaching her to create value for others while simultaneously positioning herself to be successful. Kayleen is passionate about pursuing her career at Paycom.
