President of Mauritius Attends GSSI Conference
The President of the Republic of Mauritius, Her Excellency Dr. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, participated this week in the Global Sales Science Institute (GSSI) Conference, which is co-chaired this year by Baylor University’s Center for Professional Selling’s Dr. Andrea Dixon and University of Houston Sales Excellence Institute’s Dr. Joël LeBon. President Gurib-Fakim joined scholars and industry leaders from across the globe at the annual conference’s Gala Dinner.
“What an honor to have Her Excellency Dr. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, the President of The Republic of Mauritius participate in the Global Sales Science Institute conference,” said Andrea Dixon, executive director of Baylor’s Center for Professional Selling and co-chair of this year’s GSSI conference. “This country president involvement in an academic conference is a first in my 25-years in the academy.”
The GSSI Conference is an annual gathering of scholars and industry leaders who collaborate on research, education and professional practice issues from the global sales landscape. This year’s conference takes place June 6-9 on the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius.
