Each year, scholars and industry leaders from around the world gather at the annual Global Sales Science Institute (GSSI) Conference to collaborate on research, education and professional practice issues from the global sales landscape. This year’s conference, co-chaired by Baylor University’s Center for Professional Selling’s Dr. Andrea Dixon and University of Houston Sales Excellence Institute’s Dr. Joël LeBon, takes place on the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius June 6-9, 2017.

The 11th annual GSSI Conference, “New Frontiers in Sales Research and Education in a Global and Sustainable World,” features leading academic work from 83 global scholars representing 16 countries. Scholars participate in the conference program as presenters, co-authors and reviewers. Senior executives from Rogers (Mauritius) and Air Mauritius will present the practitioner perspectives on B2B selling, and conference participants will dine with Her Excellency Dr. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, President of the Republic of Mauritius, at the conference gala dinner.

“It’s been a sheer joy to partner with Dr. LeBon in putting together this GSSI Conference. Dr. LeBon hails from the country of Mauritius and has spent his professional career in both Europe and the United States,” said Andrea Dixon, executive director of Baylor’s Center for Professional Selling and co-chair of this year’s conference. “We’re excited about the quality of the papers that were submitted for this conference and the dialogue that’s likely to result.”

The Global Sales Science Institute is an international network formed in 2007 by academics and practitioners involved in sales & sales management. GSSI’s aim is to unite the study and practice of sales and sales management around the globe and brings together scholars and practitioners from across the world to further advance global collaboration in sales research, practice, and education.
