Top Finishers of BBVA Sales Competition Announced
Baylor’s Center for Professional Selling announced the top finishers of the Baylor Business Value Analysis (BBVA) competition, where students completed a value analysis and presented the value proposition in a five-minute video format. This competition built upon the recent Baylor Business Selling Outside (BBSO) competition involving a 3M product in the automotive market. Value videos were judged virtually by 70 Corporate Partners, Advisory and Ambassador board members and business executives from around the country.
Involving 79 individual competitors, the top finishers are:
1. Chris Nunn
2. Sam Azide
3. Austin Newberry
4. Nick Logan
5. Brooke Connelly
6. Josh Bethany (tie)
6. Benjamin Hooper (tie)
7. Dustan Dendy
8. Alex Justus
9. Reed Mitteness
10. Katie Milberger
“We accepted two challenges from our Advisory Board and used those challenges as a foundation for this competition. Board members challenged us to (1) grow our students’ understanding about creating value-in-use for complex products and (2) give our students experience with video-based presentations, thereby equipping them for the video-conference sales world of today. Thanks to our Advisory Board members for serving as the impetus for the Baylor Business Value Analysis competition,” noted Dr. Andrea Dixon, Executive Director of the Center for Professional Selling.
The BBVA allows Baylor students to see how they stack up against their peers and allows the center’s Corporate Partners to view Baylor talent as they prepare to enter the job market. In addition, top performers are awarded cash prizes.
