Dr. Andrea Dixon Awarded Top Distinction for Research
Dr. Andrea Dixon, Associate Professor of Marketing and Executive Director of Baylor’s Center for Professional Selling and Keller Center for Research, along with research colleagues Dr. James Peltier and Dr. Shannon Cummins (University of Wisconsin-Whitewater) will receive the Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing’s Outstanding Paper distinction for their 2016 work “Omni-channel Research Framework in the Context of Personal Selling and Sales Management: A Review and Research Extensions.”
The paper presents an omni-channel framework in the context of sales and sales management related to six areas: sales contexts, impact of technology, stages in the sales process, impact on relationships, impact on firm performance and the role of various communication tools and platforms. The authors also offer present a framework for future research in key areas.
The mission of the Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing (JRIM) is to address substantive issues in interactive, relationship, electronic, direct and multi-channel marketing and marketing management. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts which reflect cutting-edge thinking in interactive marketing as well as means by which organizations of all types (for-profit, non-profit, public sector, government, etc.) can employ and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of interactive marketing strategies and tactics.
