Student Feature – Blair Beene

Being a sales professional is often as much about connecting with others as it is the product you are selling. For Blair Beene, her varied background provides a springboard for building such connections. In addition to being involved in a sorority and numerous on-campus organizations, Blair holds extensive knowledge of classic rock, 80s music and movie trivia – all topics that she loves to share with others.

Blair emphasizes the word “professional” in the Professional Sales program title. From business etiquette (complimented by countless hand-written notes) to golf tournaments and career fairs, the program shapes students for their careers as well as provides theoretical and technical selling knowledge and skills. Based on that shaping process, Blair felt comfortable seeking additional responsibilities during her summer internship and brought added value to the company.

Following graduation from Baylor, Blair is looking forward to beginning law school. Ultimately, she plans to put her selling and relationship skills into practice in corporate law.
