Baylor Business Sell-Off Winners Announced
Baylor’s Center for Professional Selling recently held their Baylor Business Sell-Off (BBSO) competition, which is designed to engage students in a realistic sales situation where they meet live with a business executive for a 20-minute sales encounter. Role plays are judged virtually by business executives from around the country, offering students a chance to gain valuable feedback from the Center for Professional Selling’s Corporate Partners.
This year’s competition consisted of 67 individual competitors who met face-to-face with 11 corporate buyers. The field was quite competitive resulting in a number of ties in the top ten finishes:
1. Sam Azide, junior
2. Caleb Simmons, junior (tie)
2. Megan Williams, junior (tie)
3. Clayton Whitener, junior
4. Luke Stainback, junior (tie)
4. Lauren DePizzol, junior (tie)
5. Tyler Cook, senior
6. Alisha Pace, senior (tie)
6. Margaret Newton, junior (tie)
6. Tom Graunke, sophomore (tie)
The BBSO allows Baylor students to see how they stack up against their peers and allows the center’s Corporate Partners to view Baylor talent as they prepare to enter the job market. In addition, top performers are awarded cash prizes.
