Senior Feature – Meagan Rowell
What sets Megan Rowell apart is her entrepreneurial spirit. A Baylor Business Fellow majoring in Professional Sales and minoring in Political Science, Megan created and managed her first business throughout her high school years…a lawn mowing business. By the time she left for college, Megan had seven regular clients.
In 2012, Megan learned to sew and that prompted her bowtie business, BroTies. After creating her own pattern for a bowtie, she toyed with the design until it was just right. Megan first started selling her unique bowtie creations on campus through word of mouth. While she started with the student senate, she now sells to all of Baylor’s fraternities. She expanded her business via Etsy and now has customers across the US. Recently, Megan walked into a job interview, and walked out with an order for 5 bowties.
