Baylor Prosales Graduate Earns Spot as A Top Salesperson At AT&T

Baylor University’s Center for Professional Selling announced today that Sam Turtletaub (Baylor ProSales graduate, 2012) was recently recognized as one of the top salespeople at AT&T. Sam is a Business Integrated Solutions winner and will travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to participate in AT&T’s coveted Run Through the Warehouse event.

“It was an honor to receive this recognition of hard work and dedication to the challenges at hand, but I couldn’t have done it alone. The preparation and support I had from the Baylor ProSales team, my family and support group at AT&T helped me earn this award,” said Sam, a native of Dallas, TX.

Sam had little time to prepare to meet the quotas to be considered for this award. The competition started in April, which was also the same month Sam finished his training and started full time at AT&T as an account manager in the Small Business Sales office.

As a 2012 graduate of Baylor University, Sam is a member of AT&T’s Business Sales Leadership Development Program, and earned the 33rd spot out of over 800 AT&T salespeople by exceeding his quota in wireless, wired and mobile application sales.

Sam credits his success to Baylor’s ProSales program. “The ProSales program classes, sales competitions and research assignments were interactive and based on real world experiences. This style of learning made me comfortable in different sales scenarios at AT&T and it really helps my presence in front of potential clients.”

Brian Herndon, the Associate Director for college recruiting at AT&T praised Sam’s work at the firm. “We knew, as a recruiting team, that we won big by hiring Sam. His experience and educational background made him a great fit for the Business Sales Leadership Development Program. We are thrilled that his hard work has quickly turned him into a Top 10% salesperson within our Small Business Sales organization!”

“Sam is one of those rare talents who produces solid results while making his work look almost effortless. During his Baylor days, Sam accumulated a strong GPA and the largest number of friends on and off campus. When we traveled as a sales team, Sam would return with more business cards and connections than the rest of the team combined. He will be an alum-to-watch!” said Dr. Andrea Dixon, the Executive Director of the Center for Professional Selling at Baylor University and one of Sam’s professors during his tenure at Baylor.

While at Baylor, Sam was a member of Kappa Omega Tau and the Pi Sigma Epsilon business fraternity. He now lives and works in Dallas, TX.
