Lourenço Paz received his PhD in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is currently an Associate Professor of Economics and the Director of the International Business Program at the Hankamer School of Business of Baylor University.
Professor Paz’s research focuses on how International Trade affect developing countries with emphasis on labor market and taxation. His work has appeared in several peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of International Economics and the Journal of Development Economics.
His blog features comments about current economic issues like trade agreements negotiations and economic development strategies, and interesting tips and tricks about Mathematica, Matlab, R, SAS, SPSS, Stata, and other software.
