About Us

This digital archive of “Bluefields: languages and cultures” was created by Karen López Alonzo, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Spanish in the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at Baylor University.
All my gratitude go to the participants in this page that agreed to share with the World such rich community. This work has also been possible thanks to the endless support of friends at CIDCA-Bluefields (Center of Research and Documentation of the Atlantic Coast), Mr. Donald Byers, Jessica Lopez, Miss Claudia and Miss Helen, as well as MsC. Leonzo Knight at BICU (Bluefields Indian and Caribbean University).
It is important to also acknowledge the great technical assistance received from Lance Grigsby and Neonel Rodríguez from the Library and Academic Technology Services at Baylor University.
Thank you all for contributing to the beginning of an educational and research journey that promotes languages and cultures of the Central American Atlantic Coast.
