Welcome to Bluefields, Nicaragua!

Bluefields: languages and cultures is a digital archive created to educate and promote the cultural, ethnographic, and linguistic diversity of the Nicaraguan Atlantic. The data here presented from Bluefields is also representative of the rich background of the Central American Atlantic Coast. For researchers and instructors, this site provides you with the opportunity to learn about multiethnic and multilingual communities.  Click on the pin and access language samples (Nicaraguan English, Spanish, Miskitu, Ulwa, Rama, and Garifuna), local dances, and the city (learn about its history and cultures).

This page is dedicated to my beloved Blufileños (people from Bluefields). A special thanks to all participants who gave their time and experiences to be shared with the World.

Thank you for your patience as there are editions still getting done to this site.

We appreciate your visit!
