Description: More than a new genre of music for worship, global hymnody represents an opportunity for the integration of faith and culture and supports cross-cultural unification of the body of Christ. This session will offer a brief history of global hymnody, a discussion of why and how it may be used in worship, and an overview of available resources. It will focus on practical considerations for introducing global hymnody in congregational worship.
