Live Argentina

The Picturesque Mendoza

The program is based in Mendoza, Argentina’s fourth largest city, which is nestled in the foothills of the Andes mountains and the region’s famous vineyards.

A laid-back town by day, residents often enjoy a cafe con leche at cosmopolitan cafes or soak up the sun in San Martin park during siesta hours. But the city explodes with activity at night, when the bars and restaurants along Av Arístides overflow onto the sidewalks.

Experience Argentine Culture

Baylor in Argentina students will undergo a whirlwind of Argentine culture.

During your summer abroad, you will do everything the brochures mention and more. We will:

  • Explore Buenos Aires
  • Dance the tango
  • Independently travel to ski Patagonia or visit Iguazu Falls

But, much more, you will live the day-to-day of an Argentine. Your daily schedule will be

  • Breakfast with host family and independent to the university.
  • Independent travel to residence for lunch with host family.
  • Siesta (Argentines rest after lunch)
  • Study or, ahem, time around town with your (Argentine) friends.
