Aimee Howe

HoweAimee is originally from Western Massachusetts. She received a BA from Boston University (1997) and a MS in genetics from the University of New Hampshire (2004) studying the genetic basis of red body coloration in tilapia. Aimee then worked as a research assistant at the University of Maryland, where she helped to develop genomic resources for cichlids. Aimee currently serves as the Genetics Lab Coordinator in the Baylor biology department and she loves her job, particularly the opportunity to introduce molecular techniques to the many talented and inquisitive undergraduates in the biology program. She is very happy to have the opportunity to work with the mbuna in a volunteer capacity in the Danley lab and is currently exploring the genetics of behavior in these fishes.
