Her Ph.D. work was split between the synthesis of is currently exploring the triggered release of carbene-stabilized main group fragments. Her Ph.D. work was split between SUSTech and HKUST where she focused on the synthesis and computational analysis of BN-containing aromatic compounds.
Fall 2024 Rotating Students
Cami Kwan
First Year Doctoral Student
cami_kwan1@baylor.edu
Cami hails from San Antonio, Texas where she obtained her B.S. degree from St. Mary’s University. She is a first year graduate student who will be rotating in the Hudnall lab this fall. Cami has many research interests involving synthetic and analytical chemistry including self-assembly of chemosensors for trivalent metal ion recognition. Outside of the lab, Cami enjoys going on walks with her dog and playing video games with her fiance’.
Dinithi Alwis
First Year Doctoral Student
dinithi_alwis1@baylor.edu
Dinithi recently moved to Waco from Sri Lanka where she earned her B.S. degree from the University of Kelaniya. She is a first year graduate student who will be rotating in the Hudnall lab this fall. Dinithi’s research interests revolve around inorganic and theoretical chemistry, particularly in the development of novel compounds that can be helpful for the advancement of science across multiple disciplines. Outside of lab, Dinithi loves watching movies and doing online window shopping.

Texas State Students
Oscar Galvan
Graduate Student (M.S.)
org20@txstate.edu
Oscar is a graduate student at Texas State University currently exploring the synthesis of stable borylenes for his M.S. Degree. Upon completion of his degree he plans to pursue his Ph.D. at Baylor.
Luke Holloway
Undergraduate Student
mtb112@txstate.edu
Luke is an undergraduate student at Texas State University currently exploring the synthesis low-valent iron complexes supported by diamidocarbenes for applications in homogeneous catalysis. Upon completion of his degree he plans to pursue his Ph.D. Outside of the lab, Luke likes to cook, listen to music, and spend time with friends.
