Current Crisis

Approximately 20% of Bell and McLennan County are considered food insecure according to Derrick Chubbs, CEO of the Central Texas Food Bank. The pandemic has only worsened the crisis.

Community Response

Baylor University‚Äôs Accounting Faculty and Students host an annual event to prepare thousands of meals in a few short hours a cost of $0.40 per meal.  This event brings together Baylor and Wacoans to help those most in need.

Every meal is distributed locally through Caritas of Waco.
