We’re Going on an Adventure!
Looking for something completely different next summer?
Why stay in Texas heat when you could spend your summer exploring New Zealand: finding whales and dolphins on the open ocean, touring the Hobbiton movie set, hiking breathtaking trails, soaking in natural hot springs, and snow skiing in the Southern Alps?
Along the way, you’ll earn Baylor credit while studying in some of the most beautiful cities in the world: Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, and Queenstown. Instead of long hours in Moody Library, you’ll be learning on the other side of the globe, where winter highs hover around 65° instead of 110°.
Everyone will take two courses: one from set 1 and another from set 2…
- Set 1 – Core
- World Literature: New Zealand (ENG 2306) Literature in Context DL
- Introduction to Film (FDM 1309) Fine Arts & Performing Arts DL
- Set 2 – Focus
- Travel Writing (ENG 3378)
- Media & Society (FDM 4340) Communication and Media DL
- War & Memory in NZ (HIS 3350)
In addition, every student will earn up to 6 CAE credits and complete the Engaged Learning DL just for participating. Adventure, discovery, and academic credit… all in one unforgettable summer.
