Overview

The National Collegiate Business Championships (NCBC), led by Baylor’s Center for Sales Strategy in Sports and Entertainment in the Hankamer School of Business (HSB) at Baylor University, is an NCAA-like series connecting college students nationwide to top jobs through real-world challenges. NCBC events test skills recruiters cannot see in a resume or interview, hosted online and in-person at Bridgestone Arena (Nashville), State Farm Arena (Atlanta), Baylor University (Waco), and one of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment’s venues (Toronto). There will be at least six in-person championships in the coming academic year (Sports Sales US, Sports Sales CAN, Sports Analytics, Digital Marketing, Innovation, and Consulting) with plans to add one for every business major by 2027. Virtual competitions are also being developed to scale. Students, no matter where they are from, can earn rankings, recognition and be inspired while recruiters efficiently identify top talent.

Proven Impact

The NCBC engages over 100 colleges and universities in the United States and 14 in Canada across multiple departments. Students from schools of all sizes routinely outperform peers at flagship schools, proving NCBC’s ability to mimic athletic competitions by offering a merit-based playing field. Values-focused challenges prioritize integrity, reward students and make a strong impact while offering unique insights to recruiters.

Online and In-Person

Online: NCBC Showcases are a highly innovative online, FREE opportunity for classes and clubs to shine in 45-minute LIVE competitions. See how they work here.

In-Person: About 2/3 of online participants decide to compete in prestigious settings such as State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Bridgestone Arena in Nashville or BMO Field in Toronto. Competitors face a series of challenges to earn points for themselves and their team. Learn more here.

Ranking and Recognition

Participants across the nation are ranked by their performances online, in-person and the experience listed in their resume. Students and recruiters can easily find top talent and sort by interests. This webpage is under construction.
