My innovation plan involves providing access to ePortfolios to undergraduate students at Baylor University. Implementing various ePortfolio solutions can help the institution support faculty who are engaging in blended learning activities or are looking for more authentic ways to measure student learning. In order to better serve our students by helping them connect their current learning to future employment, my innovation proposal is to introduce a comprehensive ePortfolio initiative. This plan can be reviewed here:
One of the ways that I’ll be doing this is by helping faculty incorporate the use of ePortfolios into their courses. Specifically, I want to see faculty in Baylor’s New Student Experience (NSE) program use ePortfolios with the incoming freshmen or transfer students who are taking one of the NSE courses. The Literature Review originally composed in December 2019 to justify this plan can be accessed below:
Implementing ePortfolios in Higher Education
In support of this original plan, I have written the following Literature Review which analyzes common themes from the research as well as looks as specific case studies in the literature. Specifically, the cases reviewed help paint a picture about what works, what doesn’t work, and what lessons can be learned from these experiences that might help a new ePortfolio initiative be successful.
