Research Overview

Our Mission:

To find the tipping points in the microbiome that promote carcinogenesis in order to design better dietary and drug treatments

Research Goals:

1) delineate the dietary factors that modify the human microbiome and its function, 2) determine how microbial composition and function modify the relationship between diet and cancer risk, 3) develop dietary and microbial predictors that improve treatment response for cancer patients, and 4) identify the mechanisms governing host-microbe communication underlying inflammation.
