Daniel J. Watkins, Ph.D.

Daniel J. Watkins is an associate professor in the Department of History at Baylor University in Waco, TX. He specializes in the religious, intellectual, and cultural history of early modern Europe, particularly the influence of the Jesuits in eighteenth-century France. He is the author of a scholarly monograph, multiple journal articles and academic essays, and co-editor of a volume of essays. Daniel teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on the history of France, the Enlightenment, pedagogy, and historical methods.
