Welcome to the Hwa Lab!   How do We cope with Alcohol?

We aim to elucidate how external factors, such as environmental stressors and availability of alcohol, interact with internal brain mechanisms, like neuropeptides and neurotransmitters, to affect behavior. This research will inform us how to better tailor behavioral and pharmacological therapies for alcohol use disorders.
