PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS

1. Successful separation of Astaxanthin, Neochloris Oleoabundans, Chlorella Vulgaris and Nannochloropsis Oculata from Algae, which can change the climate change and fuel problem for the global world.
2. The results of my PhD dissertation are being used in chemistry, atmospheric chemistry and other planetary research. The motivation to conduct my PhD research was to address a few shortcomings in climate change calculations and the health exposure. My research provided valuable information on physical and chemical characteristics of aerosols. Most of results are in communication, so their potentials are yet to be explored by the science community. The results gave the foundation for MIOH and MINETA grants. The results were used in changing the transit bus fuel from diesel to biodiesel.
3. The results of my ME thesis were used in urban planning of Delhi and work was used in framing policy to change from diesel to CNG for Delhi Public transit buses. The results from rural site were used in world policy for rural areas. ME thesis helped in formulating PM2.5 national ambient air quality standards. The results explained transformation of different pollutants in the Indian atmosphere. They are used widely in discussing health effects of air pollution. The results gave the foundation to World Bank and AICTE projects.
4. Volunteer project work for PMV nutrients helped in transforming peanut slurry to biogas.
5. The manuscript on “Physical characterization of fine particles” has been used by other researchers in developing new algorithms for particle detection.
6. The manuscript on “Morphology of Single Particle” has been used by many graduate students in many departments in the university.
7. Other manuscripts are either recently published or in publication process, but are being used by graduate students in the University for developing their research.
8. The manuscript on SPM in urban and rural India has been cited by many international authorities in making policies for developing world.
9. InTech Open Book chapter has been downloaded all over the world extensively (1000 downloads in 6 months).
