PDI Learning Community

Undergraduate and Graduate Student Associates

  • Complete Level I Certification for Student Associates
  • Commit to one of the following each year
    • Attend multiple Baylor PDI Forums and/or Trainings throughout the year
    • Organize your own PDI Forum on campus or in the Waco community in partnership with Baylor PDI and your student organization, residence hall, or campus group

Community Associates

  • Complete Level I Certification for Community Associates
  • Commit to one of the following each year
    • Attend one Baylor PDI Forum or Training
    • Organize your own PDI Forum in the Waco community in partnership with Baylor PDI
    • Submit an Evaluation Report describing the results of the PDI Forum

Staff Associates

  • Complete Level I Certification for Staff Associates
  • Commit to one of the following each year
    • Attend one Baylor PDI Forum or Training
    • Organize your own PDI Forum on campus or in the Waco community in partnership with Baylor PDI
    • Submit an Evaluation Report describing the results of the PDI Forum

Faculty Associates

  • Complete Level I Certification for Faculty Associates
  • Complete and evaluate an abbreviated/mock Baylor PDI Forum in one of their courses and/or participate as an active advisor for Baylor PDI in some other capacity
  • Agree to continue to offer an abbreviated/mock Baylor PDI Forum in their courses once a year and/or serve as an advisor for Baylor PDI in a different capacity for the year

Undergraduate and Graduate Student Fellows

  • Serve as a mentor for Student Associates
  • Aid in implementing PDI forums on campus and/or in the community and collect data from those forums for research
  • Actively engage in research regarding a model of public deliberation or other “stream of engagement”
  • Meet with Josh and Erin or a Faculty Fellow to discuss your ongoing research

Faculty Fellows

  • Serve on Baylor PDI Advisory Board
  • Aid in implementing PDI forums on campus and/or in the community and collect data from those forums for research
  • Actively engage in research regarding a model of public deliberation or other “stream of engagement”
